Why Ecuadorian flowers?
Simple. Ecuador is located right on the equatorial line at an altitude of 2,000 metres and where the main areas of flower production are located. These areas have 12 hours of sunlight and stable temperatures, year round. These favourable climatic conditions allow the production of flowers all 12 months of the year.
The optimal growing conditions make the Ecuadorian flower the best in the world for their straight and stronger stems; big buds with vibrant and uniform colors, and longer vase life.
Nowadays, Ecuador counts with more than 4,200 hectares (about 10378.43 acres) destined to the breeding of flowers. The typical producer provinces are located in Carchi, Imbabura, Pichincha, Tungurahua, Chimborazo, Azuay and Cañar.
